Draining
& Refilling Your
Hottub/Spa
No matter what your
level of spa use is,
never wait more than
three to four months
to drain and refill
your spa. 1.
Set the thermostat
on the digital control
panel to its lowest
temperature setting.
2.
Turn the spa circuit
breaker off.
3.
Drain your spa using
a submersible pump
and a garden hose.
Be sure to run the
drain line to an area
that can handle the
drainage. (The ideal
way to drain a spa
is with a submersible
pump. If you don't
have a submersible
pump, you can attach
a garden hose to the
hose spigot, located
on the primary water
pump within the spa
interior. Once the
hose is attached,
open the hose spigot.
This will enable the
water in the spa to
gravity drain.)
4.
Use a foam sponge,
mop, or wet/dry vacuum
to remove any remaining
water left in the
bottom of the spa
footwell or any seating
areas.
5. Completely
dry the shell surface
with a soft, clean
cloth.
6.
Clean the shell surface
of any debris or mildew
using Thermo Gloss
and Acrylic Brightener.
7.
You are now ready
to refill the spa.
Before refilling,
be sure to close the
hose spigot (if used)
so the water does
not run out. |
